Iran Press/ Iran news: The closing ceremony of the Fajr International Film Festival was held online on Wednesday, June 2, at the Pardis Cineplex in Tehran.
The best award went to the first film, "Botox," directed by Kaveh Mazaheri.
Receiving his award, Mazaheri expressed hope that Iranian cinema would be more creative day by day, and like FIFF, other festivals would be celebrated together every year.
Also, the Mohammad Amin (PBUH) Award of the 38th Fajr International Film Festival was given to the film "Horror" from Bulgaria.
Following the ceremony, the winner of the Netpak Award was announced.
The winner of this section was the movie "Major," directed by Ehsan Abdipour, followed by a video of this director screened to the participants at the end.
In the next part of the festival, the Pfeiffer jury awarded its prize to the film "200 Meters," directed by Amin Naifeh.
The festival was due to be held in March last year, but it was canceled as the first international film event affected by the pandemic; so, to prevent the COVID-19 surge and to be in compliance with all health and hygienic protocols, all foreign participants sent their works to be screened at the festival.
The 38th Fajr International Film Festival has been held in Tehran from May 26 to June 2, 2021, orchestrated by Mohammad-Mehdi Asgarpour, writer, director, and cinema producer.
The festival has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982.
The festival is supervised by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
