Middle East (IP) - The head of Iraq's counter-terrorism service announced the death of 27 terrorists in two operations in Anbar and Hamreen provinces.

Iran PressMiddle East: In 2017, after three years of fighting, Iraq declared victory over the ISIS terrorist outfiot, but scattered elements and nuclei of this terrorist group are still active in some areas of Diyala, Kirkuk, Nineveh, Salahuddin, Anbar and Baghdad provinces.

Speaking during the training of the Iraqi Air Force on Thursday, the head of Iraq's Counter-terrorism service, Abdul Wahab al-Saadi, said: "We are looking to develop the work of the counter-terrorism service by creating a unit for naval operations."

Abdul Wahab Al-Saadi announced the death of 22 ISIS terrorists , including several prominent ring leaders, in the operation of the country's army in Anbar province, Western Iraq, last March.

The Iraqi army also killed 17 ISIS members, including three ring leaders of this terrorist outfit, in another military operation in Anbar in western Iraq in early March.
