Iran Press/Iran news: The motto was International Quds Day, the defeat of the Deal of the Century, and the consolidation of the Palestinian Cause.
On Quds day, Muslims have the opportunity to declare that despite the hypocrisy of some states and Arab leaders in appeasing the Zionist regime, they will not allow the Palestine cause to be forgotten.
As a matter of fact, International Quds Day rallies initiated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA) is held annually on the last Friday of the Holy fasting month of Ramadhan. All Muslim nations and freedom-seekers, especially the dear Iranian people, actively take part in the demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people.
Although Iran has been staging International Quds Day rallies for the last four decades, this year's International Quds Day is even more significant than previous years.
Earlier on Thursday 30 May, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei described Quds Day rallies as particularly important this year because of the treacherous acts by some US cohorts in the region who are trying to make the ‘Deal of the Century’ accepted.
The Leader once again reassured that the Zionist plot is doomed to failure and said: "They are acting differently as compared to the past only in that now they openly declare they want to eliminate the issue of Palestine form the issues of the world. For sure they will not be able to do so and they will fail."
The Leader's remarks came as he was speaking in a meeting with a group of Iranian university professors and elites on Wednesday.
