Iran Press/Africa: The Health Ministry of the UN-backed Libyan government of National Accord said in a statement late on Sunday that clashes in the southern part of the capital, Tripoli killed 11 and wounded 23 others.
The ministry gave no details of whether the casualties were civilians or fighters, Reuters reported.
Libya is now divided between two rival governments — one in the east and another in the west. Khalifa Haftar is presumably loyal to the one in the east.
The offensive by the Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army (LNA), which is allied to a parallel administration based in the main eastern city of Benghazi, intensifies a power struggle that has fractured the oil-producing country since the 2011 overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi. 101/202/213
