Iran Press/ Iran News: The satirical street theater "not to be sacrificed" was performed on Thursday. It is written by Mohammad Reza Jafari Lafut and directed by Milad Hosseinzadeh from Astana Ashrafieh in the hall of Valiasr Square. At the end of the story, the positive message of the necessity of sacrifice was conveyed to the audience.
Milad Hosseinzadeh, the director and actor of this theater show, told Iran Press: "In this show, we said that we should think about the interests of our country and sacrifice for Iran."
Also, other street theaters of this festival, Mam, Game, Troubles of a Sneaky Virus, Red Card for a Foreign Player, and Uninvited were performed.
Troubles of a Sneaky Virus
On the sixth day of the 41st edition of the Fajr International Theater Festival 'Troubles of a Sneaky Virus' was also performed.
Speaking to Iran Press on Thursday, Mojtaba Lalezari, the writer and actor of the play said: The tale depicts the challenges medical staff, and artists in particular, faced during the Coronavirus outbreak where most of them lost their jobs.
Also, the other street play 'Game' was performed on the chilling cold day at Teatre-Shahr St. with rather huge theatergoers huddling in various corners to watch the play.
Talking to Iran Press, Alireza Ghasemi, the director, said that his play 'Game' tales young people's problems like unemployment.
Ghasemi stressed that street plays are considered a tribune to talk about social problems.
In the stage section, nine plays were performed.
The Performing Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Iranian Performing Arts Association, and the International Theater Institute are the organizers of the festival in Tehran.
Fajr International Theater Festival is one of the most important theater festivals in Iran, which is held every year on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in February.
