A 4.5-magnitude earthquake which hit the southern Iranian city of Jiroft on Saturday, has resulted in no casualties and caused little damage, according to Jiroft Governor Ahmad Aminiravesh.

The tremor occurred at 14:06 local time on Saturday afternoon. 

The epicenter of the quake was registered at the depth of 25 km, according to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University.

With a population of 300,000, Jiroft is a town located in the southern part of the Iranian province of Kerman.
