In a phone call between Iran's Special Envoy and Lebanon's Minister of Health, both parties explored ways to overcome obstacles hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid to Lebanon.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, Iran's Special Envoy for West Asia currently stationed in Beirut, held talks with Lebanon's Minister of Health, Firas Abiad, to discuss the humanitarian situation of displaced Lebanese citizens and Iran’s ongoing support to the country.

The two officials emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in aiding displaced and war-affected individuals.

During the meeting, Minister Abiad expressed gratitude for Iran’s longstanding solidarity with Lebanon, highlighting Tehran's role in providing medical care to the injured, hosting displaced Lebanese, and sending humanitarian assistance during crises. He praised Iran’s unwavering support to the Lebanese government and its people throughout difficult times.

The two officials also addressed the challenges posed by Israeli actions that have obstructed the delivery of humanitarian aid from Iran to Lebanon. They discussed potential solutions to overcome these obstacles and ensure aid reaches those in need.

Sheibani reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to aiding those affected by the ongoing conflict and emphasized the importance Iranian authorities place on supporting displaced individuals in Lebanon. Both sides agreed to continue consultations and cooperation to resolve any remaining issues in delivering humanitarian assistance.
