In another part of the interview, the head of the Islamic Resistant Movement (Hamas) reiterated that the movement had rejected repeated calls by the US government to hold secret meetings.
Haniyeh added that the reason Hamas opposed secret talks with the US officials was that the movement knew the Americans were seeking to advance their own plans.

He noted that one of the topics discussed during his recent trip to Moscow with Russian authorities was the aforementioned issue.
Hamas' political bureau chief stated that the US 'Deal of the Century' targets Palestinian cause and Palestinian resistance groups must take a similar stance in rejecting and condemning it and presenting a national strategy dealing with it.
"Russia does not accept the deal of the century because it is in conflict with international law," Haniyeh said at the conclusion.
Russia and Hamas shared views in many aspects related to this issue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Hamas' leader Haniyeh touched on Palestinian national unity and the means to unite Palestinian ranks.
They also tackled bilateral relations and means to enhance them at different levels.
