Tehran (IP) - In response to the Cannes Festival desecrating film 'Holy Spider,' a cartoon exhibition ' Cannes in Close-up' is underway in Tehran's Iranian capital.

Iran PressIran news: In a politicized act, the Cannes Film Festival awarded the film 'Holy Spider' which has shown a distorted image of Iranian society and insulted the transcendent beliefs of the Shiites.

The expo held by Tehran's municipality aims at criticizing the politicized and blasphemous act of the Cannes Film Festival through satire.

The 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival supported the desecrating 'Holy Spider', while the West trumpets the respect for religions as an undeniable principle of Human Rights.

Cannes Film Festival proved once again that human rights were important for the West just on paper and that it was in fact serving the interests of the Western powers.

'Cannes in Close-up' kicked off on June 6 and will continue until June 16.
