The President of the Republic of Tunisia said that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and only Quds can be the capital of Palestine.

Kais Saied reiterated that the Palestinian issue will be a priority as long as the Palestinian people are oppressed.

Referring to the US President Donald Trump's "Deal of the Century", he said: "Palestine is not a land or a garden and is not subject to real estate law. We only defend the legitimate right."

The Tunisian president also addressed the situation in Libya, saying his country would host a second meeting of Libyan tribesmen to resolve the Libyan crisis.

For his part, the Emir of Qatar touched upon the relations between the two countries, saying that during his meeting with the President of Tunisia, two sides discussed the development of relations in various fields including security, defense and investment.

The Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in the capital Tunis on Monday evening, on a two-day official visit to the Republic of Tunisia.

Qatar has made the most investments in Tunisia among the Arab countries and is one of its main allies after the fall of Zain al-Abidine Ben Ali's government in the year 2011.
