The Foreign Minister of Syria has called on Iran not to leave his country until an eventual victory against terrorism, emphasizing that the war against Takfiri terrorists is not over.

Iran Press/Middle East: In a meeting with Iran's First Vice-President Es’hagh Jahangiri in Damascus on Tuesday, Walid al-Muallem said that Damascus wants Iran to stand by Syria until the ultimate victory against the enemies and during the reconstruction of the Arab country.

Iran and Syria have gained a great achievement by defeating terrorists, and also today, they should promote economic cooperation under tough sanctions to successfully get through this stage, the Syrian minister added, according to an Iran Press report,

Walid al-Muallem further noted that Iran and Syria are in the same boat, united in the battle against terrorism and global arrogant powers, spearheaded by the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel.

For his part, first vice-president Jahangiri praised Syria’s victories against the enemies, noting that the US is now relying on economic pressure and tougher sanctions since its policies have failed in Syria, and the wider region.

Es'hagh Jahangiri also stressed that the high-ranking delegation he is heading in the visit to Syria signifies Iran's keenness and determination to be involved in Syria's reconstruction.

Jahangiri finally called for closer interaction between the Iranian and Syrian state-run and private sectors as well as business people in order to accelerate the implementation of plans to reconstruct Syria’s war-damaged infrastructure.

Heading a diplomatic and business delegation, the Iranian vice president Es'hagh Jahangiri has traveled to Syria to coordinate plans for cooperation with the Arab country, which is recovering from years of war and a foreign-backed militancy.  101/ 211 /202
