Iranian Foreign Minister underlined the brotherly relations between Tehran and Baghdad.

Iran Press/Middle East: In a meeting with heads and members of Iraqi religious, political, cultural, and social bodies, Mohammad Javad Zarif said, close relations between Iran and Iraq are promising and a great example of relations between the regional nations.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Hmayem, chief of the Sunni Waqf (endowment) described as legitimate defending Iran against US cruel sanctions, Iran Press reported.

Representatives of Iraqi religious and social bodies also emphasized their willingness to maintain close and friendly ties with Iran.

Heading a delegation, the Iranian top diplomat arrived in Baghdad on Sunday.

Zarif's visit comes few days after his visit to India with the aim of enhancing relations with regional countries. 105
