Iran news: The head of Iraq's Shia National Alliance Seyyed Ammar Hakim met with prominent Bahraini Shia cleric Sheikh Issa Ghassem on Thursday evening in -Najaf al-Ashraf in southern Iraq about 160 km south of Baghdad.
During the meeting, Seyyed Ammar Hakim the head of Iraq's Shia National Alliance welcomed Sheikh Issa Ghassem's arrival in the city of Najaf, after an absence of 50 years, saying every Iraqi individual respects Sheikh Ghassem who is dear for the Iraqi people.
According to Iran Press report, the two sides also discussed recent concerns in the Muslim world as well as the anxieties of the true followers of Holy Prophet's (SW) Progeny. Furthermore; the head of Iraq's Shia National Alliance emphasized the importance of finding solutions based on knowledge and recognition so that the upcoming challenges faced by the Islamic Ummah will be resolved.
Seyyed Ammar Hakim also informed Sheikh Issa Ghassem of Iraq's latest achievements after the military defeat of the terrorists and reclamation of Iraqi soil.
The head of Iraq's Shia National Alliance also said the Iraqis are looking forward to a kind of the victory as far as reconstruction of the country is concerned.
Prominent Bahraini Shia cleric Sheikh Issa Ghassem's trip to the Holy city of Najaf has occurred after 5 decades, at the invitation of religious scholars (Ulema) of Najaf al-Ashraf.
Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Ghasem also had a meeting with Iraq's highest religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali al-Sistani, on Thursday in Najaf.
Bahrain’s top Shia cleric, travelled to London on Monday June 10, 2018 due to deteriorating health, according to his aides. He was reportedly suffering from cancer, and he has been in London to receive medical treatment.

Also, Jalal Firooz, a former Bahraini Member of Parliament, had said that transferring Sheikh Issa Ghasem to London for treatment is a sign of nervousness of the Al-e-Khalifa regime.
