Local Iraqi medias reported hearing sirens close to the US embassy.
The Green Zone is a highly compound with houses, Iraqi government buildings and foreign embassies.
No official statement has confirmed the news of the explosions and no further details have been released, Iran Press reported.
It came just the day after US President made surprise visit to Iraq.
