Tabriz (IP) - A part of the grand covered bazaar of Tabriz, the capital of the East Azerbaijan province, was burning on fire but firefighters put out the fire.

Iran Press/Iran news: "Two Doors" or "Iki Qapili" market in Tabriz historical bazaar was on fire by Wednesday as Iranian firefighters quickly arrived at the place to shut down the blaze, Iran Press reported.

The extent of the fire in this section of the grand cover bazaar of Tabriz made the firefighting operation slow but finally, the fire was restrained by the presence and assistance of the army forces and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

The fire cause is under investigation.

The Bazaar of Tabriz is a historical market situated in the city center of Tabriz, Iran. It is one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East and the largest covered bazaar in the world. It is one of Iran's UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
