Iran Press/Iran news: According to the source close to the supervisory board monitoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) said on Monday, Iran will remove some limitations on its nuclear activities which had been suspended under the agreement.
The measures will be within the framework of the JCPOA’s 26 and 36 articles and quitting the deal is not still on the agenda, Tehran Times reported.
The source said that move is also a response to the European Union which has failed to meet its obligations under the multilateral nuclear agreement.
US President Donald Trump had withdrawn from the Iran nuclear deal and set to renew sanctions on Iran On May 8, 2018.
On May 1, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that Iran didn’t dishonor any of its obligations and commitments in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) but the United States was the first and biggest violator of 2015 International treaty on Iran.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, known commonly as Iran's nuclear deal, is an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program reached in Vienna on 14 July 2015 between Iran, 5+1 Group, and the European Union.
President Rouhani also criticized other parties who signed the Iran deal for their failures, and for not carrying out their commitments, Iran Press reported.
Britain, France, and Germany promised to secure JCPOA by guaranteeing the economic interests of Iran after America's illegal and unilateral withdrawal from the multinational treaty, but have not yet succeeded in taking practical steps to maintain the UNSC endorsed the agreement.
