Maymeh (IP) - Iranian people's aid to flood hit victims across the country including money and goods reached 1 thousand billion rial, Ali Asghar Peyvandi, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said.

Iran Press/Iran news: In Meymeh city, in central province of Isfahan, people delivered 200 million rials aid in cash and goods for people in flood-stricken areas of Iran.

On Tuesday afternoon, third cargo of aid for flood hit areas including foods, clothes, detergents and personal health care items loaded and delivered for flood hit areas, Iran Press reported.

Every day across Iran, popular aid cargoes, delivers to flood hit areas of north, west and south of the country.   

Exceptional rainfalls since March 19 have flooded more than 1,900 cities and villages across Iran, claiming over 70 lives and causing hundreds of millions of dollars of damage to Iranian water and agriculture infrastructures.

Floods have affected several provinces in the north, west and south of the country including, Golestan, Mazandaran, Lorestan, and Khuzestan. 101/205
