Iran Press/Iran news:Talking to reporters after arriving in New York, Mohammad Javad Zarif added that Americans regard international laws and even the decisions which have taken, worthless.
Zarif said that it's not Iran's duty to come back to the negotiating table, adding, "This is the responsibility of the United States", Iran Press reported.
Iranian foreign minister also said that it is up to them to correct their own behavior and their mistakes and decide about what they want to do with the United States in the future.
Pointing out that they are cooperating with the rest of the instability elements in the region, Zarif added that America is the main source of instability in our region.
"They need to rethink about their policies and return to normal behaviors," he said.
Responding to whether the closure of the Strait of Hormuz is one of Iran's choices on the table, he replied that "I do not comment on military options, and this should be decided by the military unit."
Referring to the US action in lifting the waivers for countries which import Iranian crude oil added Zarif, "America is not the police of the world and it cannot make decision for the countries."
In its latest anti-Iranian measure, Washington announced on Monday that it will not extend sanctions waivers for countries which import Iranian crude oil.
The waivers had been in place since November when the administration re-imposed sanctions on Iran after Trump unilaterally withdrew the US from the landmark 2015 nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic.
Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in New York late Tuesday to attend the United Nations General Assembly Annual Conference on 'Remarking and Promoting International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace'.
Duirng his visit to the UN, Zarif will introduce Majid Takht-e Ravanchi as Iran’s permanent envoy to the UN. Zarif will read out his statement in the high-profile meeting of multilateralism and diplomacy for peace.
He is slated to have interviews with foreign media and sit down for talks with UN secretary general and head of UN General Assembly.101/202
