Iranian President said that the government is committed to swiftly compensate the losses to people in the flood-stricken areas.

Iran Press/Iran news: At the cabinet session on Sunday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also said that the recent floods were unprecedented in the history of Iran.

The President noted that everybody’s cooperation in managing the situation in flood-hit areas is essential, Iran Press reported.

Rouhani expressed gratitude to the disaster management taskforce, all executive organizations, the Red Crescent Society, Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and popular forces, as well as the IRIB for helping the people in the areas.

The Council of Ministers convened on Sunday evening and ministries of interior, energy, roads and urban development, health and medical education, and agriculture jihad presented their reports on the situation in areas hit by the recent floods.

Resettlement of local people began immediately after the floods, and relief efforts continue to be made with the government, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, the Army and Basij (volunteer) forces actively helping flood victims. Volunteers have also been deployed to flooded areas. 101/201
