Ahwaz (IP) - The Republic of Iraq won the fifth international So-Kyokushin Karate Championships held in Ahwaz, southwestern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: On Friday and the final day of the competition in the southwestern city of Ahwaz, Iran, the Republic of Iraq took first place, Afghanistan stood second and Iran claimed third place in men’s senior team.

The fifth international So-Kyokushin Karate Championships began on February 28 and finished on March 1, 2019, in Imam Reza (PBUH) Hall in Ahwaz, Iran, Iran Press reported.

150 Karate practitioners from 9 countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Iraqi Kurdistan, Kuwait and 400 participants in 3 teams from Iran attended the championships.  208/211/105
