Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking on Wednesday at the meeting of high-ranking delegations of Iran and Armenia, Hassan Rouhani, described the developments in Armenia peaceful and democratic, adding, this visit will further cement political, economic, and cultural relations between the two nations.
The two countries have enough motivation and political will to deepen relations, said Rouhani, adding: "We should try to promote the level of relations between the two countries to a desirable point."
According to an Iran Press report, president Rouhani said Iran and Armenia can increase their energy cooperation, including in the fields of gas and electricity. He pointed out that Iran is also constructing refineries in Armenia.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also said, there are good potentials and opportunities in both countries for development of relations, including in agriculture, animal husbandry and industry, which should be tapped.
He also stressed development of banking relations, saying, the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to deepen ties with Armenia in different fields, such as medicine, health, health tourism, industry and mines, ICT products export, new technologies, transportation, goods transit, scientific cooperation, tourism, and environmental cooperation.
At the same meeting, the Prime Minister of Armenia appreciated Iran’s warm welcome and said, Iran is Armenia’s good friend and neighbor.
We are willing to develop relations with Iran in all fields, including economy, culture, agriculture, transportation, communications and tourism, he said.
