IRGC General: Saudi Arabia is the 'heart of evil' in the world
Tehran (IP) - The IRGC Deputy Commander has said the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps is confronting the vicious evil triangle of the United States, the Zionist regime and the reactionary Arab states, and their work isn't easy.
Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the martyrs of the recent terrorist attack in Khash-Zahedan, southeastern Iran, the deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Hossein Salami said on Tuesday: "Today, Saudi Arabia is the heart of evil in the region as well as the wider world."
General Salami added that these days, following the martyrdom of the guardians of Iran's security, the air has been filled with a heavenly fragrance in cities, towns, and villages throughout the country.
He added: "This great incident (terror attack) once again reintroduced the spirit of martyrdom among our great nation."
Elaborating further he said: "We owe the longevity of our Revolution to the martyrs, the source of our power is martyrdom. We have learned from the martyrs that in order to succeed we must stand firm."
General Salami stated: "The martyrdom of these loved ones showed that we are still standing and our youth will protect the borders. The Revolution Guards of today, have the same spirit of self-sacrifice as the Revolution Guards of yesteryears. The epic rallies and marches on 11 February (22 Bahman on the Iranian calendar) scuppered all the evil equations and assumptions of the enemy and showed clearly that the Iranian people understand very well the dangers threatening Islam and the Islamic Revolution today, and they are fully behind their Revolution at this critical moment."
Brigadier General Hossein Salami the second-in-command of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday 19 February, on the sideline of a commemoration ceremony for martyrs of Zahedan terrorist attack said there is certainly a link between terrorism and the policy of US and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East region.
Hossein Salami a senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said: "As you have mentioned, there is a link between the Warsaw conference and the Zahedan terrorist attack, and this link is both at a political level and at an operational level between the United States, the Israeli regime and the Saudi regime."
He added: "Our reaction to this terrorist attack is the same as our reaction to previous terror attacks, and we will follow our goals and will overcome all enemy plots."
Also, on Tuesday morning, the top commander of the IRGC's elite Quds Force, General Ghasem Soleimani attended the commemoration ceremony for the martyrs of the recent terror attack in Khash-Zahedan, southeastern Iran.
The solemn commemoration ceremony was held at the IRGC Ground Forces Headquarters in Tehran.
