Iran Press/Iran news: If Pakistan doesn't do its duties in fighting terrorism, Iran will fight the terrorist groups organized by regional and extra-regional intelligence services, Major-General Mohammad-Ali Jafari said on Saturday on the sidelines of a ceremony to commemorate the martyrs of last Wednesday's attack.
General Jafari also said that attendance of people in the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and their loyalty to the Revolution disappointed the enemies and made them carry out a suicide attack through hired mercenaries and terrorists.
Major-General Jafari added that the sworn enemies' grudge against the Islamic Revolution shows that Iranian people are treading the right path.
The recent crime made the IRGC and other branches of the Armed Forces more determined to take the path of the martyrs and fight the threats with more authority to safeguard Iran's borders. We will avenge their blood, vowed the top general.
He added that Iran will undertake 'retaliatory measures' against the conspiracies organized and supported by the region's reactionary governments at the behest of US and the Zionists.'
Inasmuch as the government of Pakistan knows the location of these terrorists that are dangerous to Islam, the Pakistani government should be held accountable for the crimes the terrorists have committed. We expect the Pakistani government to carry out its duty with seriousness and not allow the terrorists to use their soil to launch attacks on Iran's border areas, added Jafari.
General Jafari added that as President Hassan Rouhani said the situation has changed and Pakistan should change its behavior with these anti-Revolution elements.
If Pakistan doesn’t do its duties in this regard, Iran, based on the international laws, has the right to counter the adjacent threats in the neighboring countries and will punish the terrorists that are the mercenaries of regional and extra regional intelligence services, General Jafari also said.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps personnel were traveling between the cities of Zahedan and Khash, in Sistan-Balouchestan Province on Wednesday, when their bus was hit by a suicide car bomb attack.
The attack killed 27 IRGC members and wounded 13 others with the so-called Jaish ul-Adl terrorist group claiming responsibility for the attack. 105 /211
