A number of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel have been martyred and injured after an explosive-laden vehicle rammed a bus carrying IRGC personnel near the city of Zahedan in southeastern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: The IRGC personnel were traveling between the cities of Zahedan and Khash, in Sistan and Baluchestan province on Wednesday, when their bus was targeted in a suicide car bomb attack.

A statement released by the Quds Base of the IRGC's Ground Force said the bus was carrying 40 IRGC personnel, but did not mention the number of casualties, Iran Press reported.

The statement also mentioned that the terrorists detonated a truck loaded with highly explosive materials as the bus was passing by.

The attack happened on a road between the cities of Zahedan and Khash, close to the Pakistan border where terrorist groups and drug smugglers operate in the border region.

The so-called Jaish ul-Adl terrorist group has reportedly claimed responsibility for the bombing. 101/ 211 /205
