Iran Press/Iran news: The spokesman for Iran's judiciary, Hojjat-ol-Islam Gholam Hussein Mohseni-Ezhei reacted strongly on Sunday to meddlesome remarks by UK foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt, concerning Iranian citizen Nazanin Zaghari, Iran Press reported.
Mohseni-Ezhei said: "Jeremy Hunt has no business telling us who should be in jail and who should be free."
In a press conference in Tehran on Sunday, Mohseni-Ezhei added: "Jeremy Hunt has no right to threaten us or to meddle in our internal affiars. It is none of his business which Iranian citizen is free, and who is in jail. It is none of his business."
Also, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghassemi on Saturday slammed UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt's remark as meddling in Iran’s internal affairs.
Bahram Ghassemi suggested the British diplomat to instead look at his respective government's record in the Middle East over the past years to see how the British government's policies and support of terrorist groups and aggressive countries have caused humanitarian crises in the Middle Eastern nations.
Nazanin Zaghari arrested over links to 2009 Iran riots according to Iranian judiciary verdict.
Zaghari was among the suspects who 'conducted activities against the security of the country' during the post-election 'sedition' in 2009, according to Yadollah Movahed, the head of the Justice Department in the Iranian city of Kerman.
