President Hassan Rouhani appointed Saeed Namaki as the acting minister of health and medical education on Thursday.

Iran Press/Iran news: Appreciating Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi’s sincere work and efforts during his tenure, President Rouhani accepted his resignation and appointed Saeed Namaki as the acting minister of health and medical education in a letter of appointment sent on Thursday, according to an Iran Press report.

In his first statement after his appointment as minister, Saeed Namaki assured the Iranian public that the current 'Health evolution plan' (also known as 'Rouhani-Care') will continue just as before, but with more resources and 'a more appropriate budget'.

Ghazizadeh Hashemi is known as the designer of 'Health evolution plan', a plan designed to reform Iran's Healthcare system to 'grant the public fair access to healthcare, enhance equity, cover health costs and promote the quality of healthcare services that people receive'. 103 / 211
