Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic republic of Iran says despite the US imposed sanction against Iran, our country's aviation industry is in a dynamic condition.

Iran news: Despite the US imposed sanctions against Iran and US illegal withdrawal from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Iran's aviation industry working in good quality and have been developed, Iran Press reported.

One of the Iranian airlines in past year negotiated with Russian 'Sukhoi' company and they agreed to purchase 'Sukhoi' aircraft but recently no Iranian airliner has negotiation for purchase of aircraft and nothing new happened, Mohammad Islami told in an interview in IRIB TV1 on Saturday night.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development about the quality of Russian made aircrafts said: "It does not matter an aircraft is built by which country, but it should observe ICAO's (International Civil Aviation Organization) regulations and pass needed aviation's standards."

Mohammad Islami pointed to the Iranian ports capacity of 200 million tons per year for merchandise transportation and said: "Port of Chabahar capacity after development has reached to 8.5 million tons from 1 million tons, and in the next step after new development the capacity of the port will reach to 85 million tons in a year."

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development, call Chabahar Port as the only oceanic port of the Islamic republic of Iran, and stated: "We are trying to absorb the freight ships in the Persian Gulf to use port of Chabahar as the main destination.

Muhammad Islami rejected that the Indian company did not in charge of development of the Chabahar port, and emphasized that the Indian company just use from chabahar port and also provide needed services to the applicants.

"Because Port of Chabahar is not under US imposed sanctions and so India is eager to use Port of chabahar as a bridge for reach to central Asian countries," Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development added.

The unilateral measures that will hit oil exports, shipping and banks, are the most concrete result yet of US President Donald Trump’s controversial decision in May to abandon the multi-nation nuclear deal with Tehran.

US President Donald Trump withdrew Washington from the nuclear agreement in May and reintroduced the first round of sanctions on Iran in August.

US has approved a sanctions exemption for Iran’s southeastern port city of Chabahar because of its importance in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and other countries in the central Asia.

Chabahar is a main and the only oceanic port of Iran, located to the far southeast on the Gulf of Oman. 205/103
