Iran Press/Iran news: The Iranian president in a massage to Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, congratulated country's National Day and said: "I am confident that taking advantage of the capacities and abilities of Tehran and Doha we can take steps to bring about peace and stability in the region and the growing expansion of relations between the two sides in all fields."
According to Iran Press, in his message, president Rouhani wished prosperity and happiness for the brotherly nation of Qatar.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who visited Qatar to attend at international summit, "Doha Forum 2018", met with Qatari prime minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani on December 15.
Zarif and Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani in this meeting, emphasized on the development and deepening mutual relations, security and stability of the region.
Qatari foreign minister later criticized US sanctions on Iran and said, sanctions are not the way forward to solve a problem.
"We encourage the US to come back to the renegotiation and have a diplomatic solution," he told CNBC in Doha on Sunday. 101/211
