Iran's First Vice-President said, the terrorist measures, which are designed and adopted by enemies to divide the Iranian nation, are doomed to failure, making the Islamic Republic of Iran firmer in its resolve to fight terrorism.

Iran Press/Iran news: Eshaq Jahangiri regretted the terrorist incident and extended condolences on martyrdom of two police forces, while asking governor general and all the police and security forces to do their best to counter perpetrators of such terrorist incident.

He wished divine ascendance for the martyrs and patience for their bereaved families, while wishing speedy recovery for the injured, IRNA reported.

Jahangiri made the remarks following the terrorist suicide attack on a police headquarters in Chabahar in southeastern Iranian province of Sistan-Balouchestan on Thursday.

According to an Iran Press report from the port city of Chabahar, a big loud explosion in the city at about 10 am on Thursday morning disturbed the residents.

Care taker Governor of Chabahar district in Sistan-Balouchestan Province, Rahmdel Bameri, has said two persons were martyred, and 33 others were injured in Thursday morning's terror attack, which included eight women and three children.

Various politicians and heads of government have condemned the Chabahar terrorist attack, including the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, and the spokesman for Pakistan's foreign ministry, Mohammad Feisal.  105
