The Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif has reacted to Thursday morning's terrorist attack on the southeastern port city of Chabahar by saying: "Such crimes won’t go unpunished. We will bring terrorists and their masters to justice.”

Iran news: The Iranian foreign minister had harsh words for terrorists and their supporters on Thursday.

Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted: “Foreign-backed terrorists kill & wound innocents in Chabahar. As we’ve made clear in the past, such crimes won’t go unpunished.”

Zarif said: “In 2010, our security services intercepted & captured extremists en route from UAE. Mark my words: Iran WILL bring terrorists & their masters to justice.”

According to an Iran Press report from the port city of Chabahar, a big loud explosion in the city at about 10 am on Thursday morning disturbed the residents.

The acting head of Chabahar district in Sistan-Balouchestan Province, Rahmdel Bameri, has said two persons were martyred, and 33 others were injured in Thursday morning's terror attack, which included eight women and three children.

Various politicians and heads of government have condemned the Chabahar terrorist attack, including the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, and the spokesman for Pakistan's foreign ministry, Mohammad Feisal.  

Currently, no individual or group has accepted responsibility for this terror attack. 103
