13th International Cooperative Alliance – Asia-Pacific (ICA-AP) was held in Tehran with dozens of countries participating.

Iran Press/Iran news: Head of Iran's Chamber of Cooperatives, Bahman Abdollahi said at a press conference in Tehran that the successful holding of the event indicates the failure of US efforts to isolate Iran.

According to an Iran Press report, Abdollahi added: "The conference coincides with the start of sanctions and therefore we have tried to hold it at the highest level since one of the objectives of the US in imposing economic sanctions is to isolate Iran politically."

The 13th International Cooperative Alliance – Asia-Pacific (ICA-AP) was held for the first time in Tehran in cooperation with Iran's Chamber of Cooperatives.

The last round of the event was organized in India, where Iran was given the honor of hosting the next meeting.

In total 30 countries as well as 250 managers take part in the event.

In October, Abdollahi said in a meeting with South Korean Ambassador to Tehran Ryu Jeong-hyun that the Islamic Republic expects South Korea, as one of its key business partners, to continue operation in Iran in the situation created by the US sanctions.

Given the good track record of South Korean firms' in Iran, they can use the opportunity created after the withdrawal of European companies from the Iranian market, to expand their ties with the Islamic Republic further, and capture a larger share of the Iranian market, Abdollahi noted.  101/ 202
