Iran ranks first in the region in terms of military might
Iran has managed to become the first power in the region as far as the military might of the country is concerned while it is among the first seven countries in the world in the arms field, said the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)'s Aerospace Force.
Iran News: Elaborating on the post-revolutionary military achievements of the country, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said the arms embargo was in place during the Iraqi-imposed war against Iran and the sanctions continued ever since, Iran Press News Agency Reported.
The top military official was addressing the 4th National Congress of the Three Thousand Martyrs of Qazvin Province, centred on students, on Wednesday.
The commander of the IRGC's Aerospace Force said the country enjoys a basket of the most versatile missiles including medium-range, short-range and long-range missiles, ballistic and cruise missiles from liquid to solid fuel, anti-floating ballistic and ground-to-ground missiles.
"All these achievements have been effortlessly made by the country's youths and centred on the forces of the first generation of the revolution who realised the war," said Brigadier Hajizadeh.
Referring to Iran's self-sufficiency in the fields of radars and bomber drones, Hajizadeh said: "We enjoy the capability to compete in all weapons in terms of value for money worldwide." He added that Iran supplies the cheapest military goods.
Hajizadeh also lauded Iran's intelligence dominance in an attack on the castle of Democrats in Iraq, saying that "a Zionist regime's envoy as well as the representative of the Saudis have both been there and killed in the attack."
"Such a dominance displays the peak of our power," he said.
The commander of the IRGC's Aerospace Forces said "Today, the global arrogance no longer enjoys the peak of power, rather it is seeking to show off its power through propaganda and exaggeration."
