Referring to the diminishing power of the US in the world, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said that the failure of the US military is a certain reality.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Issuing a statement on Saturday on the occasion of the 1979 takeover of US embassy in Tehran, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) pointed to the diminishing power of the US in the world and said that the failure of the United States in military, economic, and media wars against the Islamic Republic is the outcome of the Iranian nation’s resistance and fight against the global arrogance.

IRGC said the Iranian nation will give US President Donald Trump a “slap in the face” by staging rallies across the country on Sunday to mark the anniversary of the takeover of the US embassy in Tehran.

In this statement the IRGC commemorated the 13th Aban (November 4) as “the national day of fight against global arrogance.'

“With the grace of God and with the blessing of the insight and wisdom of the Iranian people, the 13th day of (the Iranian month of Aban, corresponding to 4 November ) this year will turn into a stage for the show of national power and unity, the humiliation of the Great Satan (the US), the condemnation of the hegemonic nature of the hated regime of the United States, and the Iranian nation’s slap in the face for the deceitful president and officials of the US,” the statement read.

In the capital city of Tehran, the rally to mark the anniversary of the landmark event will be held at the venue of the former US embassy, which is known by Iranians as “Den of Espionage”.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei stated in a meeting with a number of university and high school students on Saturday that the US is 'on the decline'.

On November 4, 1979, and in less than a year after the victory of the Islamic Revolution that toppled a US-backed monarchy, Iranian university students who called themselves "students following the line of (the late) Imam (Khomeini)" seized the US embassy in Tehran, which had become a center of espionage and planning to overthrow the newly established Islamic system in Iran.

Every year on the 13th day of the Iranian month of Aban (which this year falls on November 4), the Iranian nation, particularly students, hold rallies across the country to mark the day.
