Iran Press/Iran News: "I think the blanket support that the US provides to Saudi Arabia and to Israel has enabled them to carry out atrocities that would not have happened, had there not existed this blanket support," Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in an interview with CBS News correspondent Elizabeth Palmer on "Face the Nation" Sunday.

Iran's Foreign Minister also said US choices have consistently destabilized the Middle East over the past two decades.
"The United States' choices in the Middle East are wrong, and these wrong choices lead to the disaster in our region," Zarif said. "We knew that the invasion of Iraq was the wrong choice, although Saddam regime was our enemy. We knew that the attack against Afghanistan was the wrong choice although Taliban were our enemy. We know that the invasion and attack, bombardment of Yemen are wrong choices. But the United States is continuously and persistently on the wrong side."
The remarks came as the kingdom has come under mounting criticism for the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, Washington Post columnist and notable critic of Riyadh’s policies, who was murdered after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2.
Murdering the prominent journalist Jamal Khashoggi has drawn fire from around the globe particularly across the political spectrum.
After 18 days of silence and rejecting claims that Khashoggi was killed, the Saudi government finally bowed down to international pressure on October 20th and claimed the prominent journalist was killed in a fist-fight inside Istanbul consulate.
Jamal Khashoggi once close aid of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and later active critic and dissident of al-Saud regime entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October and never exit.
Iran's Foreign Minister said recently that the international community's response to the killing of prominent Saudi journalist and critic was late yet severe.
