Irans' foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi said on Sunday that Iran's foreign minister is to head to Istanbul tomorrow to participate in the sixth trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.

Iran news/ According to Iran Press, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi announced that Iran's foreign minister  Mohammad Javad Zarif is on a state visit to Istanbul to attend the 6th trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey on Monday.  

Ghasemi's remark came after the leaders of RussiaGermanyFrance and Turkey attended a meeting in Istanbul on October 27, to discuss ways of ending the fighting in Syria, and in particular the situation in militant-held Idlib province, the last province still controlled by terrorists.

The hope is to extend outwards the fragile ceasefire that is not quite holding in Idlib as well as work on ways to encourage Syrian refugees to return to their country.
