Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei referred to increasing importance of passive defense for the country, and the role of passive defense in countering renewed threats by the enemies, saying passive defense should prevent 'any sort of infiltration by the enemy'.
Addressing personnel and managers of the Organization of Passive Defense, the Leader said: "Enemy attack is often complicated and there is usually many aspects to it. Thus, passive defense should be alert, serious, based on scientific principles, precise, up-to-date, and comprehensive in nature. Passive defense must prevent all manner of enemy infiltration."
In further remarks, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said all officials, managers and government should be aware of the importance and significance of passive defense, adding: "If senior officials of the country do not appreciate the importance of passive defense, and if passive defense does not develop fully as it should do, then potentially the country will be exposed to serious threats, and some of these threats may cause irreparable damage. Thus, all senior officials of the country, both in military and defense sector, as well as in the non-military sector, must be aware of and fully cooperate with the Organization of Passive Defense, as required."
