Iran Press/ Iran news- "Iranian government in the previous year has obligated ICT ministry to provide "Digital Iran" plan by the corporation of other organizations. The government also obligated ICT ministry to provide digital economy development program and give it to the government. A work group has been organized in ICT ministry in which also six ministries are participating in it," Iranian ICT Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi said in a press conference on the side line of the 19th International Exhibition of Telecommunications (Iran Telecom 2018).
"We came to the conclusion that instead of creating a comprehensive plan, put it into pieces and apply it in the appropriate areas. The reason behind this decision was the speed of development and progress in the world," Iranian ICT Minister noted according to Iran press international news agency.
"Memorandum of understanding has been signed with Iran's Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, Ministry of Energy, and National Library of Iran in the frame work of this plan. We are also going to sign the same memorandum of understanding very soon with Municipalities and with the Ministry of Health and Medical Education," Jahromi added.
"For solving the challenges that businesses have faced in the digital economy development zone, an entrepreneurship plan has been sent to the government, but the economic commission founded some faults in it," Iranian ICT Minister said.
"Today ICT ministry along with the other six ministries that created the report resend the entrepreneurship plan to Iranian government," Jahromi noted.
"We hope to provide the final version of "a Digital Iran" plan to the government in next two months. The challenges that Iranian government faced for applying "a Digital Iran" plan is going to be reported to the public," Iranian ICT Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi concluded.

Earlier, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 19th International Exhibition of Telecommunications (Iran Telecom 2018), said Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi , we were all gathered at the exhibition to chart the achievements and new direction of the industry.
The 19th International Exhibition of Telecommunications, Information Technology, known as Telecom Innovation 2018, opened at the Tehran Permanent International Fairground .
The exhibition is organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Ministry, the Communications Regulatory Authority, the Telecommunications Infrastructure Company (TIC) and the Telecommunications Company of Iran (TCI).
According to the exhibition website, Telecom Innovation 2018 is expecting about 40,000 trade visitors this year, with more than 300 exhibitors taking part in the exhibition.
