The spokesman for the executive committee of the Iranian parliament, Behrouz Ne'mati has said specialist and expert committees of the Majlis will become more active, with various groups or factions in the parliament also becoming more active.

Iran news/ According to an Iran Press report, Behrouz Ne'mati, the spokesman for the executive committee of the Iranian parliament announced that the unofficial session on Sunday morning was  devoted to important issues, including economic, social, and security matters. Ne'mati said one of the main points discussed was the five-point plan (directive) by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) to calm down the currency markets and to reduce fluctuations in currency exchange rates. Ne'mati said CBI's plan will calm down the currency markets.

In further comments the spokesman for the executive committee of the Majlis said various important issues, particularly economic issues, will be debated on the floor of the Majlis on Sunday. 

Commenting on essential items and commodities for public use, and government subsidies for these essential items, Ne'mati said at the moment there are several proposals which are floating around within the parliament and within the government, but the public should be assured that there  are no worries and that all essential items are readily available,  and affordable.

Commenting further Ne'mati said: "No nominations have been made for replacements for the minister of economy and finance and for the minister of Labour.  There will also be a debate in the Majlis about transportation with the honourable Minister of road and urban development and his deputies attending the debate".

Parliament's other agenda for today include:

(1) Continuation of the second report of the Economic Commission on Amendments to the Bill on Combating Trafficking in Goods and Currency

(2) Selection of two representatives as observers in the Council of Assemblies and other delegations

(3) Impunity of profit, commission and fines for loans of farmers who have suffered damage from the natural events and the grace period for the loan for three years

The unofficial session of Iranian parliament (Majlis) started at 8:30 am on Sunday morning 30 September 2018, without the presence of invited "guests".
