Iran Press/Iran : Addressing a huge crown of Eid Al Adha prayer worshippers in Tehran on Wednesday morning, the senior cleric, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami warned the United States by saying: "The costs of a war with Iran will not just be limited to the United States. The Americans should know that if they start a war, their puppets and allies in this region, such as the usurper Zionist regime of Israel, will pay a heavy price".
US will die frustrated in its wish to negotiate with Islamic Iran
In further remarks, Tehran's Eid al-Adha prayer leader said: "The Iranian people know very well what the Americans did to the nuclear deal , the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA ). They didn't just withdraw from this multilateral international accord. They tried to obliterate it. They tried to destroy it. They think by pressuring us, we will come to the negotiating table. This is wishful thinking on their part; they will take this wish to the grave. The Americans should know , Islamic Iran will stand up to dictators and bullies resolutely. We will not bow, and we will not give in".
Referring to the necessity for patience at a time of hardship and belt-tightening, Ayatollah Khatami went on to say that in spite of current existing problems one should know that even the Holy Prophet ( Blessings of God upon him and his progeny) in his own time, had challenging situations as well. He stressed that Prophet's conduct should serve as a good role model and excellent example for the Iranian nation.
Ayatollah Khatami went on to stress that the Holy Prophet was always hopeful, gave hope and inspiration to others, never succumbed to difficulties and problems, and used to say that tiredness was equal to defeat.
Provoking disunity among Muslims is enemy strategy
Speaking for the second sermon while stressing the presence of the spiritual atmosphere in Iranian society Ayatollah Khatami said that provoking disunity and split among the Muslims is enemy's strategy.
Referring to Leader's remarks on having no talks with USA ,the prayer leader warned that if the Americans start a war, their allies in this region, including the Zionist regime, will pay a dear price".
The Eid Al Adha prayer was observed in Tehran led by Ayatollah Khatami , the Tehran provisional prayer leader in Mosalla. Similar Eid Al Adha prayers were observed in towns and cities all across the Islamic Republic, like in all other Islamic countries of the World.
The tenth day of the month of Zil Hajjeh, the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar, is the Eid al-Adha festivity , also known as Eid Ghorban or the Feast of the Sacrifice. On this day, the Hajj pilgrims, after completing their Hajj rituals and traditional rites, sacrifice (slaughter ) an animal on the plain of Mena , and following this , what was religiously forbidden for them during the Hajj period , becomes 'Halal" or allowed , such as clipping their finger nails, combing their hair, and looking at themselves in a mirror.
