The Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Ali Asghar Monesan said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency that Polo is not only a sport but also it is a ritual game in which routed in history and heritage of Iran. It can be said that Polo is one of the oldest group ball games which considered as an Iranian's intangible cultural heritages.
"Fortunately, the issue of building and playing Kamancheh ,a musical instrument, and also the issue of Polo sport has been registered globally", The Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization added.
We did a shared job with the Republic of Azerbaijan to register the Kamancheh globally", Ali Asghar Monesan said.
"At the end of the last year, at the 12th UNESCO World Conference in South Korea we could register globally two of Iranian Intangible cultural heritages", The Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization noted.
