Iran faced Bulgaria at Azadi Stadium at 18:30 local time on Saturday.
Iran won the first, second and fourth sets, giving it three home points, while Bulgaria won the third set 25-23.
Head Coach Igor Kolakovic had selected Saeed Ma’rouf, Saber Kazemi, Ali Shafiei, Saman Faezi, Milad Ebadipour, Morteza Sharifi and Mohammad Reza Hazratpour to play against the Bulgarian team.
Their performance was so well that Kolakovic made a slight change during the five sets and only Ali Asghar Mojarrad and Farhad Qaemi entered the field in the first set.
Iran’s national volleyball team will face Germany on Sunday at 18:30 local time in its last match in the FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
