A number of six relief helicopters were unveiled today in Payam International Airport, Alborz province, in the presence of Minister of Health and Medical Education Dr. Seyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi.

The relief choppers are used for the first time in the country for transporting the injured and sick people at the site, he said, adding, “these equipped helicopters have been purchased from Europe over the past two years.”

Helping and offering quality relief and rescue services to the injured on the road accidents is among other obkectives of purchasing these choppers, he maintained.

These six helicopters belong to Airbus Airlines which are equipped with advanced stretcher and special devices for patient recovery, Dr. Hashemi observed.

The issue of offering quality relief and recue services to patients in Alborz province is of paramount importance given the location of this city en route passengers of 15 provinces of the country.
