Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Saturday that Iran sees no limits in promotion of cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The foreign minister said that Iran welcomes enhanced cooperation with Turkmenistan in different political, economic and cultural areas. 

Zarif made the remarks during a meeting with visiting Turkmen Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow. 

The Turkmen foreign minister, for his part, said that Ashgabat is ready to promote relations with Iran in different areas.

 The two sides also exchanged views on gas projects, swap, industry, agriculture, tourism, education, culture, writing the legal regime of the Caspian Sea, exploitation of the Caspian Sea resources, investments by the companies of two countries, water crisis, holding Norouz ceremony, facilitating border commuting, custom tariffs and road and rail cooperation.

 Meredow also met with President Hassan Rouhani earlier in the day. 

During his two-day stay in Tehran, the Turkmen foreign minister is also scheduled to meet with Ali-Akbar Velayati, an advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on international affairs.
