Iran PressEurope: Large numbers of demonstrators gathered in central London on mid-day Saturday, calling for liberation of Israeli-occupied Palestinian lands and the formation of an independent Palestinian state with eastern al-Quds as its capital.

Speaker after speaker called for an end to the Gaza Strip's Israeli-imposed blockade which has caused enormous hardship for the Palestinians of Gaza, and supported the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their usurped homeland, Iran Press reported.

The demonstrators carried banners and placards saying 'Free Palestine' and 'End the Siege of Gaza'.

They also declared their solidarity with the Palestinians of the occupied territories, particularly the people of the Gaza strip, and called for justice for Palestinians.   211/105
