Iran's foreign minister and his Swedish counterpart met in Geneva on Wednesday and discussed regional issues and peace talks in Yemen.

Iran news: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Swedish counterpart Margot Wallstrom also exchanged views on international issues and priority of human rights dialogue instead of selective measures in international organizations as well as other issues of mutual interests, Iran Press reported.

The two sides also underlined the necessity to continue contacts on different bilateral, regional and international issues.

On November 23, the top Iranian and Maltese diplomats discussed the latest developments about the JCPOA, mutual relations and regional issues, particularly the Yemeni and Syrian crises.

Recently, Federica Mogherini confirmed that the EU supports the peace plan to put an end to the Yemeni conflict, as proposed by UN special envoy for Yemen, Griffiths.
