The Islamic Republic of Iran has invited representatives from some OPCW members (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) to attend Persian New Year celebrations at The Hague.

Iran's Ambassador to the Netherlands Alireza Jahangiri congratulated the Persian New Year to the guests who attended the Nowruz festivities in OPCW headquarter in The Hague, Netherland.

He welcomed the ambassadors of Kazakhstan, India, Afghanistan and some other ambassadors who accepted Iran's invitation to Nowruz ceremony.

Alireza Jahangiri, who is also Iran's representative to OPCW, thanked the officials of OPCW who provided the opportunity to celebrate Nowruz at OPCW headquarter.

 Referring to the cultural bonds between Iran and India, the representative of India to OPCW said there is a minority group in India who migrated from Iran to India centuries ago.

Representatives of some other countries, also praised the rich culture of Iran

They described Nowruz as a good opportunity to spread the spirit of peace.

During the ceremony an exhibition of Iranian iconic goods  was held , in which  items such as Persian carpet , tapestries,handicrafts and pastries were displayed.

Last but not  least, Persian classic music during the ceremony, also created a spiritual environment of peace and tranquility for the guests.
