Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman has condemned the Zionist regime's violation of Lebanon’s airspace, describing the Israeli action as a breach of global peace and security.

Iran PressMiddle East: Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said Israeli regime aggression is a clear violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon as a sovereign country and a UN member state.

Mousavi said Israel has violated international law by the invasion, adding: "The Israeli regime backed by the US is trying to weaken the Lebanese nation’s resistance. The people of Lebanon  will defend their security, territorial integrity and sovereignty with a strong President, government and army."

Mousavi also asked the international community, especially the United Nations not to remain silent and to take steps to prevent such aggression in the future.

Last week, Israeli drones took part in a failed bombing mission in Beirut’s Dahieh region.

The attack came to a swift end after a first drone fell on a building housing Hezbollah’s media office and a second one crashed in an empty plot nearby after being hit in the air.

Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah promised a strong response to the Israeli regime.

Yesterday, the Hezbollah resistance movement confirmed the killing and wounding of a number of Israeli military personnel in two separate anti-tank missile operations.
