Iran Press/Iran News: Tehran Interim Friday Prayers Leader Mohammad Javad Haj Ali-Akbari appreciated the efforts of Iraqi government and its citizens to hold the magnificent Arbaeen Trek, adding: "Arbaeen has turned into a nightmare for the global arrogance and you see that they have boycotted the news about it while they were also going to throw Iraq into disarray before the event."
Tehran's interim Friday Prayers Leader also stressed that Arbaeen was an extraordinary accelerator of the downfall of global arrogance, Iran Press reported.
He went on to say: "The world is witnessing a great, unique and stunning event. Arba'een is a magnificent, outstanding and inspiring phenomenon. The thing that millions of pilgrims travel to Karbala on foot is a miracle from the believers' perspective."
Arba'een, which is the largest religious gatherings in the world comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS).
Pilgrims travel miles on foot to reach the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein is located, to perform mourning rites.
