Ramsar (IP) - Head of the Iran Press News Agency said that the ECOMU summit aims to coordinate national media and to Increase the cooperation of the countries that share common goals.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Head of the Iran Press News Agency, Abbas Mohammadnejad said that this summit has some goals such as breaking the monopoly of Western countries in the news production area and establishing a media block that different countries could share their experiences and facilities and even their capabilities in training the staff.

"The joint production of film and series, exchanging news and images, creating a shared news agency and using shared satellites to broadcast satellite images, are the other goals of the summit," he pointed.

Mohammadnejad added: "In this summit, the statute of the media union of ECOMU member states will be formed and the secretary-general of the union will be elected."

The Summit of the Heads of Radio and TV channels of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states is scheduled to be held on November 2-3, 2019 at Ramsar, Mazandaran province in northern Iran.

Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan are the 10 ECO member states.
