Tehran (IP) - The Presidential chief of staff has stressed that it is unwise for Turkish troops to enter Syria, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has warned against such a move.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday,  Mahmoud Vaezi said that Iran understands Turkey's concerns about its southern borders but this issue cannot be solved by military force.
In further remarks, Vaezi said Iran's third incremental step reducing its commitments to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has been very effective, and many countries including signatories to JCPOA are in constant contact with Tehran, Iran Press reported.

"The third step was the most important step that Iran took although they thought that it was a decision on R&D but we started to work and we started operating in a variety of fields and then IAEA's inspectors came here  and monitored the process," he said.

"When President Rouhani was in New York, EU and some officials in their meetings with him were asking us to show restraint, but we told them if they meet their commitments based on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, we are also ready to get back to the agreement," Vaezi added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Iran's Presidential chief of staff said that the Yemeni crisis is a kind of genocide against Muslims.

"We have tried to conduct a ceasefire from the beginning and we tried to organize negotiations to make peace", Vaezi added.

He made the remarks on the sideline of Cabinet meeting on Wednesday morning.

"Well, Saudi Arabia thought that it can rely on its air force and other countries' help and so-called coalition's help and in a short time it can swallow Yemen to get to place it has pre-planned. But it didn't work out that way, and today, 5 years after the Saudi invasion, the war is still going on in Yemen. Accordingly, we think that under the current situation Saudis have realised that the war will get nowhere and will not solve the problem," Vaezi noted.

"What can help to solve the problem is negotiations and we welcome the declaration of a ceasefire by the Ansarullah movement. If Saudis are serious to solve problems with both Iran and relations with Tehran and solving Yemeni's crisis via negotiations we consider it a positive step", the Presidential chief of staff stressed. 101/211/201
